IN A brief ceremony after the ADR Group's annual conference and dinner at the Bodleian Library in December, three leading players in the ADR community were presented with awards. Quentin Smith, a former Addleshaw Goddard litigator-turned mediator, was named Mediator of the Year; Halliwells was named law firm of the year; and Philip Bartle QC of Littleton Chambers won an award for 'international mediation development.'

CEDR: Just 80 mediators have 80% of the market Print E-mail

CEDR'S THIRD Mediation Audit published at the European Mediation Congress in November shed new light on some important developments in the profession. Among them, the audit found that just 80 individuals are involved in 80% of all non-scheme cases, as compared with just 65 individuals who held 70% of the market in 2005.
